Meet Our Fabulous Facilitators

Sarah Manus

Sarah is a high school English teacher, and  social justice educator. She is also the co-director of Co-Action Foundation,a nonprofit that supports displaced children in Nepal. Sarah teaches poetry and creative writing as a tool to move beyond self-reflection and build empathy, community engagement, and social change.

Caroline Flett

Caroline Flett, soloist, song-writer and lyric mezzo-soprano, was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  She received a BA in Music and Vocal Performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and has also trained in Austria, Hawaii, and Los Angeles. Caroline’s debut album, David Wurts’ Evening In The Redwoods was released this month. She is excited to share her love of life and music with TEND!

Linette Bixby 

Linette is a mindfulness and self-compassion teacher who helps people reduce stress and find more emotional ease and self-compassion. She teaches programs for teens and young adults as well as for adults. She is also a newly published author of the Mindfulness Workbook for Teens.

Kat Perez

Sarah Young

Sarah is the Founder and Executive Director of the Social & Emotional Wellness Initiative (SEWI) which provides mental health support for youth across LA county. Sarah has a passion for helping youth thrive. She received her Master of Social Work degree from USC and in her free time loves to bake and feed people. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors.

Maggie Onewein

Sarah Schwager

Sarah teaches theme-based vinyasa flow and yin yoga classes that cultivate mindfulness, self-reflection, and growth.  Sarah is also a high school English teacher and believes that both literature and yoga can reveal lessons about ourselves and how to live more meaningful lives!

Kelly George

Hadlee Garrison

Hadlee is a health and lifestyle change coach. She helps people feel better in their bodies, have more energy, become more confident and cultivate a better relationship with food.

She graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and a Master's in Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education.

Kelly is a 200 hour registered yoga instructor trained in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition and is the creator of Sacred Flow Holistics - Yoga + Sound. She has been practicing yoga for over 18 years and honors the mind-body-spirit connection. She is a mother of two teenagers, a dedicated tree-hugging environmentalist, and a social justice ally. Kelly is beyond excited to join The Tend family.
